I was doing a variety of repairs and adjustments to a buddys 56(my cars twin but Blue instead of Red).Nice car but has not been serviced for a long time.Adjusted the valves, neded it badly but luckily he has good oil flow to the rocker shaft. He had previously (about 4 years ago)purchased a nice rebuilt teapot carb.Nice recolored obviously proffesional rebuild.Installed it and the screw in cap over the needle and seat leaks.Put the old one back on for now.I read somewhere on here that there is a replacement now for this problem. How do I get one?Is there a fix I can try first?(besides tossing it and buying a new later carb).Secondly when I set the timing with the lines off it was where its supposed to be set.Hooked the lines back on and timing was advanced at idle.It is a loadomatic. Is that the way they work?Cant remember because I replace mine with the 57 style. One other question regarding the carb.is the idle speed set using the screw on the left(drivers side) of the carb or is the fast idle screw also used to set idle speed?Couldn't get the left side screw in far enough to set idle speed. Thanks
