I have having to log on every time I visit the site which is getting a little tiring. Then theres the problem of the site locking up all the time. Find that I'm starting to avoid the site (not that anyone would miss me, haha)

By the way MG I'm using Safari, have tried Chrome but same deal.

I've used both IE and Firefox and both seem ok. As far as signing in, its actually better for the site if we don't stay signed in. Gives a much more realistic headcount. For that reason I no longer try to stay signed in. I have found that if you have left the forum home page open in a tab, and return to see new posts, you have to reload the page by clicking "Home". Otherwise you get a page error. As far as the slow loading and other problems it seems to be inherent in this forum style. When things are running way slow sometimes I close the Y-Blocksforever site and reopen it in a new tab from the main page. Sometimes this helps but sometimes it takes several reloads. Hope this helps, Chuck in NH

It would be one thing if I could read the Forums without having to sign in each time I visit, even if it is within minutes, but I am faced with the Log In page every time. Not so on other sites I visit. I'm nottalking about "staying logged in".

It's a very odd problem. If I tell it to keep me logged in it will keep me logged in. I've only had to log in once on both of my laptops, and desktop. If I do it from another computer, I stay logged on.

if you are using fire fox and cant access links or pictures on sites its most likely it is blocking the site automatically! if you look at the top of the browser next to the BACK and FORWARD button there is three square buttons to the right .......the third button with a circle(if its red the site is blocked) is the button you want to click....after you click it a drop down screen will appear with a list of options saying "allow " a lot of different parts of the site.you can click certain options or if you look at all of them there should be one that says "allow all of this page" thats the one i mainly use...almost every web page you open....i.e napa.com , wellsfargo.com, will be blocked and you have to unblock the site using the above method so dont forget to look for the red circle whenever you visit a new page.......hope this helps.........p.s. dont click the one that says "allow scripts globally(dangerous)" unless you know what your doing! youll open youe computer up for viruis amoung other things.

By the MG I'm using Safari, have tried Chrome but same deal.

Howdy,

I am using Firefox as well (ver. 5.0.x on OpenSUSE Linux 11.4) with no problems except that the "Keep me Logged In" has never worked.

But since it always saves my username/password I only need to click log in each time.

Safari is not the best browser in town. (Based on KDE Konqueror )..........................Konqueror needs serious tweaking to get it to work right.....(it's a great file manager though)

Safari does not play well with a LOT of websites....

It appears that you might have other problems possibly with an outdated javascript installation whichwould affect any browser on a MAC, etc...... (isn't that a truck? Wink )....

click the following... http://www.macshareware.com/software/javascript

I can't access Yblock forums with Firefox , does anyone else have this problem?

Before you do anything else, go to Windows UPDATE (I assume you're using Winblows) using the "Windows Update" button in your program list.....It WILL open Internet explorer.

Ensure that you accept ALL the recommended updates. (INCLUDING Service Pack #3 if XP or SP#1 if 7 etc)

Also ensure that you have the latest Java update and the latest version of Firefox.

If auto updates are NOT on, turn it on (Windows Update will ask you to do it if it's not on)

If you have not been doing the updates bring your lunch!! It will take a GOOD long time!!!and you'll have to do multiple reboots!

Cheers,

Rick

I have problems logging on at times. One recommendation by someone here awhile back is to sign on, and on the home page, look down to the right near the bottom of the page. There is a box titled "delete forum cookies". It helps but doesn't remedy the problem completely. It also helps my computer when I do a Disc Clean Up and dump all the temporary internet files.
