I have problems logging on at times. One recommendation by someone here awhile back is to sign on, and on the home page, look down to the right near the bottom of the page. There is a box titled "delete forum cookies". It helps but doesn't remedy the problem completely. It also helps my computer when I do a Disc Clean Up and dump all the temporary internet files.Deleting session cookies won't make much difference. Deleting cache and or history files will help if your hard drive is getting too full.
Having severely outdated versions of I.E, Java, Javascript, Adobe Flash, and excessively fragmented files WILL slow things down!
If you want to "clean" the computer and defrag the drive effectively, You can use free programs like CCleaner and Defraggler from http://www.piriform.com/ . They work FAR better than the MS default programs.....
Or do like me and use free and open source Linux.
http://www.ubuntu.com/ or http://www.opensuse.org/en/
Both are completely free........no virus's, no spyware, no defrag, no hassle......
I like OpenSUSE (been using it for about 12 years for everything on my computer from Ver 9.0 to 11.4...... except with Quicken and Turbotax (which is now web based) I recently dumped quicken and now do web based banking only......now I don't need Winders for anything......(except maybe to program the transmission controller for the E4OD going in my F-600 (And I'm planning to use
WINE for that)
Sorry guys! Lets get back to Y-blocks!!!

Cheers,
Rick
EDIT:
By the way, if no one has tried the Google Chrome browser, you might give it a try. I am posting this edit using Google Chrome running on OpenSuSE Linux 64bit .
My wife put it on her her new HP laptop (running Winders 7) and she loves it!
If anyone wants to compare browser security, have a look at
http://secunia.com/resources/factsheets/2011_browsers/
They rate all the popular browsers with respect to security.....it doesn't appear that I.E. has done all that well.
