First of all I haved searched the archives and I couldn't find an answer to my question. I am putting together two rocker arm assemblies with new shafts and kits. I am planning on using the 1.54 rocker arms that I have. Should the bores of the rocker arms be smoothed out or cleaned up? They don't look too bad, but I was thinking of cleaning them up with steel wool and I had one suggestion to use a 12 gauge shotgun wire cleaning brush...and should those adjusting nuts be a bear to turn? I realize they need to stay where they are adjusted, but these are tough.
Thanks,
