Well been a while comin.  Been gathering pieces for months and lots of help here is awesome.  Been a good week.  My dad has a finished 1953 Mercury M100 with a flathead.  He was at a truck show this wknd and won a brand new Pro's Pick reproduction bed for my truck WOOHOO.  And dropped off the block and parts for boring 292+0.040" & "0" deck for Egge pistons, balancing the rotating assembly, and cam bearing install.  So my next question is about push rod lengths.  I see there are different sizes.  And seems to be by years.  Well I am using a 1960's block with 1956 ECZ-C heads.  So if the block is skimmed 0.020 and the heads also skimmed at least 0.020 what push rods do you guys think I would probably need?  And do you think there will be problems fitting the intake do to the material removed?

Thanks

Scott
