i have a 292 Y block,c2ae ,ecz-g 5752 heads, was originally a marine conv.,I have converted it to a truck engine, having trouble getting it to run right. It originally had a mallory marine dist.no vacumn advance,Ichanged it to an after market 57 dist from adv.auto.currently running without vacumn advance, was popping through the exhaust.I also installed a different crank. pulley with timing marks, dist set at about 4degrees bftdc.I wondered if the marine conversions used a different cam than the trk.& pass. versions thanks RED
