I've came up empty handed doing a search on the subject of drilling 1/4" holes at the base of each of the 14 forward most pushrod bosses as per page 55 of Eickman's "Ford Y-BLock" book.
The author claims by drilling the holes and grinding little valleys to direct the oil to them, you will channel oil from the pushrod chamber to the cam lobes to help with lubrication.
Truth or Concequences?
