My experience with spray cans is that heating them by running hot tap water on them in a sink immediately before use seems to improve their performance.
One guys experience...

As others have likely done, for some work, having the paint supply shop mix the desired paint and then having them load it in an aerosol can (supply shop term 'spray bombs') is handier than dragging out the spray gun and having to clean it afterwards.
Too, as most likely know, when finished spray painting, turning the aerosol can upside down in a trash barrel and depressing the spray nozzle until the paint stops coming out and then wiping the discharge nozzle opening, greatly improves the likelihood that the nozzle and pick-up tube will not be clogged the next time you go to use it.
Hope this helps someone...
