Just stripped my factory air cleaner off my '57 Bird. It is the large round one. Found gold paint on the base under the black that I sprayed on it many years back. Two of my local T-Bird experts say it should be Argent Silver like the top. It looks like the gold on the bottom of the '65-'66 Mustang Hi Po aircleaners. What has your experience been?
