When i was looking for a "B" manifold, I wasn't looking at the whole number, just the last one. the last number/letter is a B so I bought it, so in that aspect it was as advertised. I made the goof up. But i can make it work so no biggie. I'll get the carb spacer/adapter from speedway. As far as Pony Carbs, I think they are overpriced and I ain't that rich so I'll search for a used one in need of a rebuild and go from there. Wat are your guys carb recommendations for a stock 292? what has worked for you guys. I know 500cfm is max from what i have read.

Hoosier Hurricane (2/5/2012) Oops! F code is EDB-F, not D. D is the head designation. Brain fade. Old timers. Sorry.John's correct. The F code intake is the later intake with material added to the carb pad and the Lincoln style blower carb bolt pattern added. They have both carb bolt down patterns machined. the carb pad is approximately 3/16" higher than the B and is noticeable by looking at the intake. They are also machined for the Blower carb throttle bores and have several notches machined and cast that are unique.

1964; If the intake isn't what was advertised, I don't know why you are not asking to return it? You can register a complaint with e bay if refused.. looking for an Autolite carb, try a Mustang club, or if you want a rebuilt, try Pony Carburetors in N.Y. state. However, they like to get a core or they charge extra..

The F code is EDB-D, used only on the supercharged engines. It has both bolt patterns on it.

Is the F-Code intake a unique casting or a B intake machined differently?
