I'm using 2 Teapot 4 barrel carbs on a Flathead Ford engine. I've had the car on the road for just a few weeks. Engine runs fine, good throttle response, etc., BUT the thing was difficult to start. Always seemed to flood easily with or without throttle applied.

Yesterday I decided to see if I could find a problem, so I removed each carb and went thru them. I found a stripped hole where the Power/Economizer valve resides and a crack in that same area. Evidently fuel is then allowed into the carb base and then would flood upon start up?

I don't think there is a fix for this, but thought I'd ask you guys.

I think I'll also post a wanted ad for another carb. It's an ECZ9510 M List 1161 2

Maybe someone has a rebuildable one that they're willing to sell?

Thanks for any assistance

Jim
