P58: Use it for what? And do you know what it came out of? The numbers don't appear to apply to Ford/Mercury Y-Blocks.

Its simple and cheap to use a windsor dizzy. You would just have to lengthen the shaft and fit the Y-block gear. Ive done it and didnt even have to change or adjust the points.

PF Arcand (6/15/2012) Aussi: Please elaborate how to lengthen a Windsor distributor shaft?!All i did was cut the bottom of a worn out y-block dizzy and after removing the windsor drive gear welded the bottom of the y-block dizzy shaft onto the the windsor shaft, making sure it is dead straight and the same lengty as the stock y-block dizzy from the sholder where where it sits on the block to the drive gear.
