Hello all,

I did a search on the site for this problem but couldn't find anything. I have a 292 in '56 F100 with an AOD behind it. Problem, no oil pressure. I spun the pump up with a drill and got 30 pounds. I put the distributor in started it up, no oil pressure. Pulled the pump, pump drive and the distributor. The pump drive spun in the distributor so it would not drive the pump. The distributor was a rebuilt with 0 miles on it, still building the truck. My question is this a common problem? My Mustang has the same type setup in a 302 and it works fine. Never have run across anything like this and I don't want it to happen again. So, if it is a problem I would like to get what ever it takes to keep it form happening again.

Thanks for reading my ramblings,

Doug
