Do what Moonshadow said. I did this on another car and its been holding for in excess of 15 years.
I also understand that NAPA has sleeves that would work, or try a radiator shop and was mentioned above..

I had the same problem when I put a 1961 292 in my '54 Mercury. I went to a NAPA store and the parts man looked in his book and found a curved moulded hose with 1.75" on one end and 2.00 " on the other end. I should have written down the hose number but it was in the NAPA book. I special ordered it and had it in one day. It fit perfectly with some minor trimming of one of the ends. Good luck, Alan S. When I last was doing a radiator on my Oldsmobile, this issue arose - and my local rad shop had a nifty rubbber sleeve on hand, made for the purpose. Dunno if it had a brand or type - but works with no problems at high temps and full 13 psi pressure. The four core RAD was for a chebbie truck and it fit correctly in the Cutlass mounting - outlet was 1/4" too small. Everything I owned had to be reworked to live down here.....

Parts stores list flexible hoses with different sized ends. Maybe you can find one with 1 3/4 and 2" ends in a length you can use. Looking in the back of their paper catalog you may even find a molded hose that will work, either as is or with some of it cut off.

If the smaller hose fits snugly into the 2" one you can cut a section of the small one to fit over the radiator outlet and into the larger hose (about 4"). Once you tighten down the hose clamp it will hold. A lot of aftermarket metal hose's use this technique. Chuck
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

I found the 54 radiator lower out let is 1.750 while the 57 312 water pump is 2.00
The hose from Concourse Car parts comes one size either 1.750 or 2.00
Any ideas on this or hose suggestion.
Off to Napa to see what they have...
