Maybe someone can answer this? got a call from shop asking how to remove the output shaft from rear housing on 56 victoria o/d box, i cant add any more as is hard not looking at one, is it basic or trick to it? thanks guys.

Bill: On top of the tail housiing, about midway, there is either a small metal plate with two bolts, or a disc type freeze plug. Remove the plate or plug, and you can see the OD of the bearing and the ends of a snap ring. With snap ring pliers open the ring into the groove in the case, and tap the shaft out of the housing.

John, thanks for reply, i couldnt acess site this morning as it had problem and meanwhile worked it out, lot simpler than i thought. Appreciate your answer, regards bill.
