Maybe someone can answer this? got a call from shop asking how to remove the output shaft from rear housing on 56 victoria o/d box, i cant add any more as is hard not looking at one, is it basic or trick to it? thanks guys.Smile

On top of the tail housiing, about midway, there is either a small metal plate with two bolts, or a disc type freeze plug.  Remove the plate or plug, and you can see the OD of the bearing and the ends of a snap ring.  With snap ring pliers open the ring into the groove in the case, and tap the shaft out of the housing.

John, thanks for reply, i couldnt acess site this morning as it had problem and meanwhile worked it out, lot simpler than i thought. Appreciate your answer, regards bill.Smile
