just replaced the accerator pump diaphram on my 272 w/2 bbl...

ran fine for a few miles; now goes chug, chug, chug...

pulled plugs, most have some oil on the threads.... probably from my mostly in town slow driving.

but I looked down into the carb while working the throttle and only one jet is working...

plugged up somewhere perhaps??

any ideas on clearing it short of removal from intake??

thanks,Mark

It has never ceased to amaze me how much grit can get loose in fuel, I would guess that there may be a speck of crud in your jet. You may be able to spray out while on the manifold.

What is the carburetor? Is it an Autolite or Motorcraft 2100? If so, you can remove the cover, and remove the secondary venturis by just removing the one screw that keeps it in place. Then it will be easy to clean the obstruction.
