I have put over 13,000 miles on my 56 victoria with fordomatic and the collumn shifter has always moved easily through the PRNDL range back and forth with no trouble until lately. On start up , it goes easily enough from park to D or R, but now when I want to park the car, it won't go from R to P unless i Pull back extra hard on the shifter and push extra hard to the left.  It ends up going into park, but I can tell I am forcing it. It feels like maybe something chipped or broke off in the collumn . Anyone else ever had and corrected this problem?
