Hi I recently installed a ford 303 three speed transmission into my 56 bird other than turning down front bearing retainer to fit bell it fit just fine I have read about cuting off imput shaft but I did not seem to have an issue with that as it slid up to the bell with no problem it has a brass pilot bearing from MACS, I cannot get it to release the disc seems to disengage fine from flywheel it has a 10 inch clutch was wondering if anyone can help me what is going on possibly pilot bearing to tight I tried it before and it seemed to fit ok it is a normal 292 pilot bushing the trans I beleave is out of mustang with a 289 any help would be appreciated I also have a lightened flywheel , my email is samueldonahue@hotmail.com thanks in advance
