I did the T-5 deal to my '60 F100 292 a few months ago.
1. You can use a #6203 ball bearing for the pilot.(get the one sealed on both sides)
about $6-8 at most motorcycle stores or call me I'll send you one.
2.Mummert's adapter works great.(just hacksaw about 3/8 inch off imput shaft
and smooth the edges)
3.I used the "long" style clutch.
4.On to the shifter, I'm cheap,so I cut a small rectangle plate(3/16 thick) drilled
the two holes to mount to the stub of the shift mechanism and welded a piece
of 1/2" re-bar custom bent to bring it out from the seat. The "shifter" is approx.
12/15" tall, put a dirt bike "grip" on it and it works fine. Will not work on a SHOW
truck!!!! Mine's a driver, so I don't mind .( The shifter looks(shaped!) like one from
a 55-57 chevy Hurst model.)
5. My truck's got a Hyd. clutch, so I can't help on the linkage deal.
6. Any decent driveshaft shop should be able shorten your shaft and fit the
correct slip yoke. Hope this helps...... Bill
