OK 292 guys is there suppose to be a copper gasket under the jam nuts on both sides of pickup tube where it passes through the oil pan ?

MC: OUTSIDE? I don't see a need to seal the nut against the pan if oil can leak past the threads. I would think you would want the gasket inside between the flange on the tube and the pan wall. Just my opinion.
