I just finished refurbishing my ECG high ratio rocker arms with bronze bushings. I reassembled using new Mummert shafts. While the rocker assemblies were off the engine, I used the "grease gun" trick to try to clear the oil passages in the block and head. This seemed like it worked as I felt resistance at the grease gun lever at first, and then much less resistance in the following pumps. However, after installing the rocker assemblies on the engine and driving the car around a while I have what looks like barely adequate oil flow to the left bank and just a little flow to the right bank (only the center rockers are getting any oil at all).
So, I have decided to install an external oiler. I have a ton of work installing the bushings in the 16 rockers and sure don't want to starve them of oil. Problem is - I've been watching ebay for one several weeks and haven't seen anything for a Y-Block. I was wondering if anyone has fabricated their own external oiler and if they might have any plans or instructions for doing so. I've searched this forum and can't find anything.
Thanks.
