I have done similar thing by just joining one side to the other, useing 1/8" NPT brass fittings to ensure pipes seal, usually is oil pressure to at least one side if no oiling to one side problem.

This is what a p.o. has done to ensure oil supply to the rockers

Possibly unnecessary these days with 360* cam bearings, but interesting, and neat.
