Hey guys, just as name says, my friends call me Chewy. I have a 59 Edsel Ranger 2 door post/sedan. End of last summer the 2nd cylinder back decided it didn't like it's rod end and spit it out the side of the block adding an unwanted window to the motor right behind the generator mount. I picked up a 292 from a truck for it that I am getting ready to drop in instead. The car has a late model 3 speed with OD out of a 80's van that has been redrilled and turned down, it worked beautifully with the straight 6 and the od got me about 22-24 mpg. So I really want to keep that trans (not to mention there is now a hole in the floor). I am wanting to know what additional parts I will need to bolt this in. I am just going to trim the rear motor mount ears off the bell housing, and bolt my clutch to the flywheel. I guess my questions are more which clutch fork to use, or if I need a totally different one, and same for the z-bar and mount. Anyone ever done this swap in a car that era that can give me some pointers?
