Sorry everybody, as soon as I posted in the classifieds, I realized it should have been in the Technical Forum. They say the mind is first thing to go.

My question on the classifieds was an opinion about using a Rochester 2GC (500 CFM) as a center carb on an Edelbrock 573 intake, and blocking off the two end carbs. This would be going on a 312 (.040 over) with Mummerts 265S cam, C1AE heads with 1.84/1.60 valves and mild street port. Not looking for all out racing performance, but would like to have respectable street performance. Would it kill performance? Anybody have any thoughts?
