I think your distributor curve will be fine. I use Autolite 45, NGK WR5, or Champion RF11YC.  I gap mine at .035    On a stock engine you do not want to use a cold plug

Very thanks RB Wink

The last cam I purchased for a LYB engine came from Nielson Cams.  Here’s their link.

You need to find a stock dual 4 barrel air cleaner off of some car to make it look stock. There are repops out there for 409's and Cadillacs batwing style. A new base out of aluminum for your carb spacing would be easy. I would even make an entire one out of aluminum welding a circle to a 2 or 3" side ring. Finish it by painting it gloss black and adding a service decal off some factory air cleaner unit... Good Luck.... I look cool and any engine looks better with dual quads.

You are right, this Winter I am going to redo the engine and to paint it in black, what do you think of , yes I'm going to change the air cleaner but when I buy the manufold they are on

For a camshaft you will probably have to have your stock one reground..Blanks are almost impossible to find..  As far as the grind. several people have told me they were ground by Clay Smith with the spec being their 270X grind.  The M335 engines were all assembled in the shop of Bill Stroppe and Associates in Long Beach. These are basically hand built and blueprinted motors.  As far as i know they were all stick cars so they had a special aluminum bellhousing. Other unique items would be the cast M 335 valve covers, twin Holley 4bbl vac secondary carbs, special air cleaner.

Thank you RB for  your good explanations to I was told that you were the person has to contact for M335 what youdo think  of ditributor regulation and plug I have to mention higher

Your installation looks nice.  While your timing curve sounds adequate, the fuel composition and octane rating you are running will dictate the exact curve that’s required.  Varying the ignition curves and test driving each will in most instances get you close.

Thank you Ted
Where can I fend a performance Cam for my 368 Y Block ?
