I managed to get one in but will look at the inner panel for the other. Isn't the fastener still up and behind the door hinge pocket? Chuck

The very rear part of the inner fender that is behind the wheels is removable and that is how I was able to get to those bolts in my 55

Thanks Alan. That sounds like a workable solution. When I came in tonight from the shop I was thinking of drilling a new hole 6-8" forward of the door edge. There is one spot there I can reach. Better solution is the door jamb hole. I'll try that one tomorrow. Chuck

I was able to get a 1/4" drive socket on the fender moulding nut closest to the door jam by drilling an access hole in the sheet metal  interior kick panel under the cardboard trim panel.  I located the correct place to drill the hole in the kick panel by first drilling a small hole from the outside in.  I then enlarged the hole on the inside to about 1/2" diameter so I could get a socket with a long extension on the nut.  You can then get a 1/2" rubber plug to fill the access hole and none of this will be seen when the cardboard trim panel is in place.  Good luck, Alan S. On my 54, I had to use a push in clip for the last fender clip.

Thanks Bill. I was wondering about that. I bought a set of new clips and they were all bolt on. Other than this last one the set worked out perfectly. I can see where this one requires a snap in. I'll see what I can find. Chuck
