I have a 56 Fairlane.
I'd like to install bigger sway bars.
Are Station Wagon bars available? Are they bigger?
If not available, what have you guys used that worked well?

Contact Nascar Dave on the H.A.M.B. '52 to '59 Ford social forum. He makes 'em.

Gearhead Enterprises (I think in ND) was selling a front and rear sway bar kit, but they were not cheap. 1&1/8" in diameter as I remember. The Station wagons use the same 7/8" sway bars as the passenger cars.

55 Ford station wagons has a 1" bar but the 56 wagon does not  Carl

I got a front for my 54 from Thunderbirds Southwest.  Nice guy to deal with.

This topic is active on the 52-59 social group on the HAMB. NascarDave just posted that he has them with all mounting hardware for $150 for 1 1/8 front and $150 for 7/8 rear.

Ill tell ya Jim, wait till you install the Aerostar springs. You may decide you don't need the beefy sway bar. I have almost NO body roll now! Rowen

To all I still have to try this, But I was told that a sway bar from an 86-87 T-Bird, Cougar is a direct bolt in? Has anyone tried this?
