Tim, some time ago you mentioned that your's is a working truck. Here's some pictures of mine working. One is the Ephrata fair parade, I pull a church float. The others are once a year or so I pull the camper with it.Usually when we go to a car show. It's not entirely used for drag racing

Very Nice! I think the trailer is a little too new for the truck, you should have a "Shasta" or some other "Ham Can" trailer. I was chatting with Jim Culver the other night and told him that when I can make it to Columbus I want to drive the '58 with the Alaskan out, what a trip that would be in late Aug. with no A/C. My wife Kathy says she likes the color of your truck, it matches her Herald.

Tim , I get a lot of comments on the color, I like it too. We had a '73 Shasta before this one. I thought it was perfect for us, but mom got the itch for a new camper and you got to take care of mom. That was the camper we had when I built the garage. The new one stuck out of the door an inch and a half, and I have to let the air out of the tires to 15 psi so I can get under the header. Look again at the picture how tall it is compared to the door. You need a fresh air vent in front of the windshield like the 53-56 has. At speed it feels pretty good.

I don't know anything about posting pictures, but I have a working truck that several of you guys have seen. It is a '53 F350 with a lengthened frame, a 324 cubic inch Y, 4 speed granny gear trans, inline R11 overdrive. I use it to haul my race car in the summer, and in the fall I put a hopper bed on it and haul soybeans to market. I ususally gross over 13,000 pounds when hauling beans, and the engine doesn't even breathe hard. I guess you can call it a working truck.

Hi Dennis Tim and John Here is a pic of Frank Roelke's Y block '64 Rollback hauling freight! the picture is a bit old and the Truck isn't quite so handsome but Frank still uses it for his rapair shop business Olde Towne Motors in Sykesville Md. if not every day than at least once or twice a week. This truck has been raced at the shootout several times.
Revised 2/9/09 to show my truck taking ice storm damaged tree limbs here in Louisville to the mulch center the second of several loads.

we have another working truck in the family, it's a 1960 F-600 that my uncle Frank bought "New" in late '59. He used it to haul oranges to the packing house in the days when you carried them in "Lugs" not the big field bins that they use today. It still runs like a champ but is mainly used to haul the crawler tractor up to the hill for work and once in a while a parade also.
here is a video, I think some of you have seen before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM84Rp0OflI&feature=channel_page

Tim, I watched the video. I should have your gearing for parade driving. Not so good for racing though.
