Charlie Burns and I just got back from checking out a bunch of stuff that a guy told me about at the drags in Oct.  He said I could have everything Y related that he had for a certain price, very reasonable, if I just come and haul it out of there.  We will get four complete 292s one Lincoln/truck Y and four 223s plus heads (mostly truck heads but I saw atleast six 113s and some ECZ-Cs, no Gs), cranks, tin, rockers and other junk too numerous to list.  All of it has been out in the weather but it looks worth the trouble to me.  here's a few pix. Wink

Cheers!

couple of 312 cranks in the last one, rusty but still good.

The guy said we can come back for this one when he pulls it to put the Flathead back in,

Doesn't look like he's in too much of a hurry though.

This dosen't come with the deal but I thought Charlie McCraney would like it.  Smile

You know I didn't even look at the bed, but no it's not for sale. Ermm  I'll look closer when we go back out.  If you come out to race with us in May maybe you can make him an offer, everything has a price.Wink

He also had this one.

Now that I look at this pic it does look like a "Uni".

Tim, you and Charlie need to get yourselves a tractor trailer to get all of that stuff out of there! I guess there are still gold mines out West...Tongue

Tim, now all you need to do is haul it and store itw00t

Gotta be some good stuff in there.

Don't see too many Mexican pick-ups north of the border or were they also sold in Canada with Mercury badge.

I'm very curious about the block marked B5AE. I have never seen one that had a ledgible date code. As far as I know they were replacements so the date code should be 58-59 or later. If that one is 1955-56 then I need to redo my block listing on website.

Gotta be some good stuff in there.

That is gonna be fun for sure!   Charlie's place is going to be the storage facility and we have a couple of trucks going to pick up the stuff, it's about 90 miles to the site from Charlie's so with driving, loading and unloading it will be quite a job but better than hearing of another bunch of Y stuff being melted down to make cheep Chinese replacement heads.

I'll let you know about the B5AE block when we get it back. Wink

That's awesome...and beyond what I could likely sneak into my garage...I thought I almost got away with slipping the one extra "Y" into my domain, but alas my wifey is very observant, and I am not sneaky.

Looks like some heavy lifting...90 miles, hmm...you guys gonna be up my way? Or is it 90 in the other direction?

Look at all those rockers!! w00t
