Ted Eaton .....But this brings up another item I need. I can use another couple pair of #48 jets for the Strombergs. Anyone have these laying loose? The carbs are currently jetted 48’s in the center and 45’s on the ends and since switching to the EMC headers, the fuel mixture at full throttle is running on the lean side. Engine was running pig rich with #50 jets in all carbs with the now removed Red’s headers.
Ted, i can send you 6 #48 jets on monday, they are used but should do the job, let me know if you still can use them, Thank you, regards bill.

Bill. Just send four of the #48’s. I already have two. Special thanks to everyone that’s sending parts for testing. I’ve had someone else call and they have the Weiand 3X2 intake and it’s being shipped also. What started out as simply testing a 573 intake with Strombergs on the mule motor is going to turn into a full fledged 3X2 test. Anyone got a Fenton 3X2 sitting on the shelf? This is a good opportunity to test as many of the 3X2 intakes as possible and get those results public.

You should take a picture of all of them together. It might be the first time that so many different manifolds have been in one place.

This sounds to me like the makings of a good article for Y-Block magazine, LFM and/or others. Can't wait to see how this one turns out.

Hey Ted, I believe Dick York may have a Fenton on the shelf, and last time I talked to him he had a large port Weiand...one thing worthy of note, I am almost certain that Offy, Weiand, and Fenton offered the large/small port versions of their manifolds just like the 553/573...may be wrong but I recall seeing both versions of a Fenton.

Cactus (1/21/2010) Dennis, that would be great. I can meet you anywhere you like. I really appreciate it as I did not want Ted to have to pay for the shipping back to me. Y-block guys are the greatest and I would really like to meet you and maybe have a meal together. It's a deal, Jan.

He's right! That is a good site, I've been there many times. Tims seem to like Y-Blocks. http://m571.com/yblock/intake.htm (this is the link)

Ted, I have an Edmunds 3 x 2 I will send you also for the testing, its on my 55 vicky w/original 272 at the moment but I plan on bringing that car in this weekend as it is getting the new 301 Y. It appears to be small port compared to other manifolds I have but looks to have lots of meat for porting. It is in the pictures on Timmys page, I don't know if Edmunds made large and small port or not.
