Tim,

I just LOVE that picture of the old wood boat (Chris-Craft?) with the "Y" in it!!!

What lake is that?

Cheers,

Rick

Most of the Chris Crafts I have delt with have scrub motors, the Centurys (my favorite) have Ys in them as does this one which is a RIVA.

I like your idea about the Y powered boat. I have a friend that restores old wood boats and a few have been Y powered, I just posted a pic of the engine on another thread here is the rest of the boat. Smile

That temp guage didn't work out as planned, it probably got air bound, it was the highest point of the engine.I dont understand why it jumped up at some points when opening the throttle. There was a paper mill nearby being torn down and I was fortunate enough to get two ramp truck loads of goodies from there, I like old classic guages so I got a bucket full.

Ted, nice looking kitty-kitty. I have a Kitty door on my garage that is (or was) activated by a magnet on my two cat's collars. I guess a raccoon could smell the cat food inside because one morning the DOOR was gone and so was a 10 lb. bag of cat food...

No cat doors for me (Kitty has her own heated outdoor house). My girlfriend has one, and spends half her time chasing varmints with a butterfly net. Her cat brings them in, toys with them awhile and loses interest, and then goes out for another one.

Ted,

I have 5 cats around the house 4 Maine coon cats and my big tiger that looks similar to yours and if I tell him to go find a mouse he will usually bring me back one in minutes. But I think the cats know not to wipe out the whole nest or it will depleat their food chain, they keep the herd thinned but know exactly where to get one when they want a snack.

Billy, I've got some respect for outboards, that was the first boat I ever had, it was a 115 Mercury and it ran great.  I don't have a boat of my own now but if I ever get another it will be a Century with a Y in it.

Ted, I like your shop cat!  It looks just like my wifes cat Ollie except ours has a snaggle tooth that sticks out like Sgt. Snorkle.  Tongue
