I remember a set for sale back on the old Yblock forum many years ago. I think the guy ended up paying a shocking $4k plus for the set that did not include the injection pump. Also, the Hilborn is a racing setup and I don't think it would be streetable as it is designed for mostly full throttle use. Converting it to EFI multiport would be one way to go but even then, with the throttle plates just above the head intake ports, the low end would be awful. For the EFI MAF Multiport possibilty, removing the throttle plates and fabricating long individual intake runners to a common plenum and throttle body was an idea is was toying with years ago. But....obviously the cost of that would be ridiculous and really, to me, trashing of a very cool and rare vintage performance system for Y blocks. Anyone know if Webers were ever used on American Y blocks?

MarkMontereyBay (2/5/2010) ..... Anyone know if Webers were ever used on American Y blocks?I haven’t seen a cast production intake for the Y but that necessarily doesn’t mean one wasn’t made in small numbers somewhere. Here’s the only Weber manifold I’m aware of for the Y.

The Y-Block Weber intake that’s pictured is actually by Hogans Manifolds. I haven’t seen the Pierce Manifold offering for the Y but there’s likely some examples out there somewhere.

Wow...that is a pretty exotic piece. I had imagined the carbs being aligned with the stacked ports instead of rotated. Makes for a twisty ride for the fuel/air mix into the head.
