My 56 fairlane 4 door will be arriving soon and it wont be long until I get to the exhaust system. Trying to get an idea of what works best on the ol' 292. One thing I will tell you is I have a set of Smithys [short ones] coming with it. Also a B manifold, 600 Holley and electronic ign  [thanks to Skip , Kidcourier] So whats a good diameter pipe[s]? crossovers, muffler position etc. It has to perform and sound like a meaty Y block BigGrin

Also I purchased the tips that go through the bumper, how does that work? surely the whole system is not hard mounted ??

Cheers, Rob.
