Bonneville was fun even though we didn't come home with a record, but to me the real star was my '58 F-100.

I drove it the 1500+ mile round trip and it gave me no complaints. It carried a 1900 lb camper with another 300 lbs of crap inside and pulled my Triumph along for good measure. We cruised at 70 mph out on I-80 much of the way and on the return trip I broke up the monotony with a side trip through Yosemite. The old Y-Block hauled the Alaskan over Tioga Pass at nearly 10000'. This is the same engine and trans. that you guys have seen lay a good strip of rubber in three gears, talk about an all-around truck. E/PP record at Bonneville may have to wait till next year but I still love my Y.

God Bless.
