Hello:
A few question for the Y-Block pundits. I have a 1956 "Big Window" with a 272 Y-Block that was rebuilt in the mid 90's and only has about 500 miles on it. The truck was originally equipped with a 223, but the last owner wanted a 272 Y-Block so they changed out. A few questions if someone could help me:
What modifications were required to change from a 223 to a 272 in a 1956 F-100?
The truck is a "Big Window" and is in excellent shape. The truck has been started, but only run alittle, what do you recommend to flush the engine with any deposits over the last 16 years. The truck was always stored in a garage.
Any general words of wisdow in maintaining the engine?????
