No worries, just had to jump in and say a few words in defense of California. Not many Yblockers in my area at all, in fact none locally. Jerry Brown got saddled with the "moonbeam" moniker because he wanted to launch and orbit a satellite to facilitate increased and better telecommunications for the state government information systems. Now nearly all states and corporations have them including Ford Motor Co. The last 5 or so years I was working for the Ford Dealer here, we were taking our tech/new model training classes directly from Dearborn in real time with the instructor and other students around the country at our dealership classroom using the FordStar satellite.

I have also been there, what a waste of time, bunch of junk, I did get an overdrive emblem off the back of a car for my vicky, Think they charged me 35 bucks for it.

I also have a scrub lovin buddy that saw that show and doesn't he rub it in everytime he stops over my place full of Y blocks, he has to tell the story about that show and the quote, I'll never live that quote down and I didn't even see the show.

Yep! I visited their lot about two years ago. What a waste of time. Wasn't worth the time it took me to find it! A lot of junk in bad shape. If I remember correctly their web site is at  www.dvap.com

Hey now....my family settled in the Santa Clara(Silicon) Valley in 1850. Been here ever since and no chance of ever leavin'. I did 3 and a half years on the flight line in Amarillo and that cured me. We have our share of goat-ropers and gun racks to go with everyone else that wants to come here. Me..I am so far left I make Nancy Pelosi sound like frick'n Glen Beck but I have loved Y blocks since my first car (57 Ford). Okay, I'm done. Back to my table full of 94's.

I've had some really good times in southern California but that was due to visiting with people of like interests. First in the military and then on business. I visited several hot rod shops, Roy Brizio's in particular. What a nice bunch of guys!

That said I vastly prefer the people and area from Sacremento north. Its beautiful country with more urban folk than wierdo's. Chuck in NH
