Hi there everyone, I am attempting a 6v71 blower conversion on my bone stock rebuilt 272, it is currently in this car http://www.y-blocksforever.com/forums/Topic58583-5-1.aspx?Highlight=vauxhall matched to a 3 speed toploader and 4.3 ratio diff running electronic ignition and 2 of the 6 carbs you see. Last time out it ran a 15.9 down the quarter and I felt bad to have pushed it so hard so I'm hoping to drop the diff ratio and rely on the tourque these engines seem to make. The car needs to be finished for Chopped rod and custom show in newstead victoria Australia in october so keep watching this space for updates. I had the oppourtunity to buy a cragar 4/71 manifold but have never been excited about the proportions it has when on a Y. So enter 6v71 slightly larger than a 4/71 and what I think to be a more suited package than a 6/71. I have an old boat tripower manifold I plan to modify but that is subject to change. It is going to be driven by a multi v belt setup, I am considering using a a/c and steer pulley and having only 2 belts but feel free to share opinions, suggestions and criticisms.

Paul.
