Who makes a good quality spark plug set at a good price for the Y blocks?

I don't know who their manufacturer is, but the last set that I purchased at Mac's was pretty good. I believe I got the set that had the original appearance from the factory, but an updated core. They are in a 55 driver, not a show car.

I've purchased a couple of sets from Concourse parts and they have worked well. The first set came with a great set of measurements so you can make up the wire looms on the bench, using all the factory brackets. Everything fit well. The second set of wires didn't come with the measurement sheet but fortunately I had saved the sheet from the first set.The point here is if the set you receive doesn't come with these instructions, let me know and I will get you a copy, as it would be real time consuming to assemble without it Jeff

If someone could post the wire measurements I'm sure it would help someone out. I bought the replacement wires from Mac's and they came without any sheet. I measured the old wires that were not the same length as the replacements. The old wires were pretty nasty so they were not any fun to measure. I'm sure I could have asked here but I didn't want to wait. I know I would save the measurements if somebody posted them for next time. Mark

Darrell, if you are looking for concours correct wires, the above suggestions are good. If you are looking for functionality and value for the money, I would recommend Belden wire sets from NAPA. Over the years, I have used them on a broad range of applications with excellent results. They may not be "correct" appearing if that is a consideration though.

I second that! Jeff, is there any way you can post the instructions? Thanks!

Im not fussy about how correct they are for the original look, I just want something that works good and good price. Appreciate all the feed back. Supercharged, how do I get ahold of you for a copy of the lengths? That would be awesome!

As I recall, the set I purchased from Mac's had all of the wires labeled so the measuring was a no brainer. Simply place the numbered wire with the corresponding cylinder's plug and the other end to the corresponding cap position. Maybe Mac's has changed their wires over the past 3 or 4 years?
